I just installed the software that came with my organic chemistry book, but when I open a chapter, none the structures appear.

Most likely you are using IE 5.5 SP2 or higher. Microsoft announced that Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 and above will not support the Netscape plugin architecture, which means that many of your plugins will no longer work with IE. You will need to download and install a newer ChemOffice Plugin, which you can obtain from:

ftp://ftp.camsoft.com/support/outgoing/win/copn70.exe

Please note that you must use this specific version of the Plugin. Other versions, including some newer versions, may not work with the cd-rom that came with your chemistry book.
