Where is the Save As option in ChemDraw 16.0 for Mac?
When Apple launched its Lion-flavored OS X the Save As option was removed for some of the applications.
Even though we kept the option available in previous versions of ChemDraw, we needed to change that with the latest release to match the Apple standard.
If you are working on an existing document and need to save it with a different name then you must use the File > Duplicate option followed by the File > Rename option instead. Alternatively, you can hold down the Option (Alt) key on the keyboard while you click the File Menu, which will replace the Duplicate option with the old “Save As” option.
You can also hit the Command-Shift-Option-S keyboard shortcut.
