How do I exchange files from ChemDraw iOS with the desktop version of ChemDraw?
There are several ways to exchange data.
1. Dropbox. Files can be added to a Dropbox folder on the desktop, and then opened in the ChemDraw app. Similarly, documents created on the iPad can be exported to Dropbox and opened on the desktop version of ChemDraw.
2. Email. Files can be emailed from the iPad and files attached to emails can be opened with in the iPad app.
3. iTunes. When the iPad is connected to a Mac or PC, the iTunes application can be used to transfer files to and from the ChemDraw Documents folder. Note that only CDX, CDXML and Molfiles can be transferred. Other files will be ignored.
You can also share files with other users of the ChemDraw app using the Flick-to-Share feature.
