During the installation, I receive the following error message. What can I do to fix this problem?
Error 1310. Error writing to file:.....
.. Verify that you have access to that directory.
This may occur while trying to install the product through the system account which doesn’t have full permission to all the required files /folders on the machine. Also occur if the Windows Installer becomes unregistered during the installation process.
Steps to overcome this issue:
Log on to your machine as an Administrator – using the administrator user name and password (not as a user that is part of the local Admin group or a user that is part of the domain Admin group).
[In Windows machine right click over the installer and select “Run as Administrator” from the context menu that pops up, follow the default step in the Installation wizard.]
If you still run in to any problem, reinstall after re-registering the Windows Installer. To re-register, please try the following.
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type msiexec /unreg, and then press ENTER.
3. Click Start, and then click Run.
4. In the Open box, type msiexec /regserver, and then press ENTER.
