Product: ChemDraw
I have MacOS 10.2 or higher. When I try to install ChemOffice or ChemDraw, I get a message that the installation requires a system folder and the installation quits without installing.
Some older versions of ChemDraw install some Classic components. This problem occurs if Classic mode has never been launched or is not installed. Once MacOS 9.x is installed:
1. Go to System Preferences and choose Classic from options
2. Select a system folder for the Classic mode and choose Start
NOTE: This updates some 9.x files
3. Retest our installer.
The latest version of ChemDraw does not install any Classic components.
Also note that Intel Macs do not support Classic Mode. Therefore, installers prior to 8.0 will no longer work on the Intel Macs. The 8.0 ChemDraw Ultra instaler can do a custom install of just the ChemDraw components to get a functioning ChemDraw.
