Product: ChemDraw
When I launch ChemDraw, I have to enter the codes every time.
First, make sure you have full access to the computer. The code information is stored in .ini files located in the Windows or WinNT folder. If you do not have the permission to write to this folder, the codes will never be stored.
Next, a single user version of the software must be installed locally using the original installer. If you attempt to "push" out the installation, rather then install locally using the cd-rom, you will also have problems with codes.
A third possibility is that the msiexec.exe file is causing problems. Any software of ours that installs ChemDraw 6.0 or higher will utilize this file, which is a Windows 2000 installer component located in your Windows\System or WinNT\System32 folder. Find this file and delete it, then reinstall our software.
