Product: ChemDraw
I am using ChemDraw under Windows NT, but I am getting random Dr. Watson errors.
Fixed in ChemDraw 6.0.2. ChemDraw 6.0 users should download the free 6.0.2 update from the Support Downloads page:
http://www.cambridgesoft.com/support/files.cfm
Non 6.0.2 users:
ChemDraw must poll the printer driver to obtain certain information about the page settings. It does this polling after certain functions. In many cases, the printer driver (usually the HP PCL-6 driver) is causing the Dr. Watson errors. This printer driver problem is not ChemDraw specific, it may occur with other applications. Please see the following related Microsoft Knowledge Base article for further details: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q183/5/22.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0
Check to see if the manufacturer of your printer has an updated printer driver available or try switching to a different printer driver, like the PostScript version of the driver or even a generic one that comes with Windows.
Otherwise, we recommend upgrading to the latest version of ChemDraw.
