The ChemDraw Plugin loads upon opening your ChemFinder WebServer Advanced query page. I can draw mystructure, but when I click on the Submit button, I get an error message stating: Please enter a search query!

Problem:

The ChemDraw Plugin loads upon opening your ChemFinder WebServer Advanced query page. I can draw my structure, but when I click on the Submit button, I get an error message stating: Please enter a search query!

Solution:

This error message may occur if you have more than one ChemDraw Plugin installed. Check your Add/Remove Control Panel to see if there is more than one entry for the ChemDraw Plugin. If there is, remove them both and reinstall the Plugin. If you only see one or no entries in the Add/Remove control panel, do a search on your hard drive for the ChemDraw Plugin. There are three possible names for the Plugin.

npcdp32.dll (which is the ChemDraw Pro Plugin)
npcds32.dll (which is the ChemDraw Std Plugin)
npcdn32.dll (which is the ChemDraw Net Plugin)

Remove any and all of these and then reinstall the Plugin. If the problem persists, you may need to uninstall your browser, reinstall it, and reinstall the ChemDraw Plugin.
