Product: ChemOffice
I just installed the software, but when I launch, ChemDraw asks me for codes, so I enter them again. It works fine, but when Chem3D and ChemFinder ask for codes, and I enter them in again, they are not accepted.
The codes provided will only work with ChemDraw when launching because the technology used for checking codes when launching is different than when installing for Chem3D and ChemFinder. However, you should not be prompted for codes when launching the software, only when installing.
The latest versions of our installer use Microsoft's Windows 2000 install technology (as does Microsoft Office 2000). This latest technology requires that a user have full write privileges to the entire hard drive. If you do not have full access to the drive you are installing on as well as the C drive, this problem will occur. You either need to log on to your computer with administrative rights, or you need to have a Network Administrator install the software for you.
