How to access multiple systems (Production, Development, Test) from a sing ELN client
Below are the steps to perform to achieve this:
For all users:
You have to modify the current ENClinetConfig.xml.deploy file in the production middle tire [Drive]\Program Files (x86)\Cambridgesoft\Enotebookx.x\Clickonce folder and execute the ELN_mag batch file to recompile the clickonce. After which all the user’s should uninstall the ELN client and delete the 2.0 folder and reinstall the ELN client using the clickonce URL.
For Individual users:
Just update the current [Driver]:\Users\\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Data\ENClientConfig.xml and make the below changes.
1) Navigate to [Driver]:\Users\\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\Data\ENClientConfig.xml.
2) Copy and paste a set of services tag and change the Name/Title of the second set of services tags.
3) Modify the second set of services tags with Server Name/IP Address in "HelpFile", "WSDL" tag.
4) Ask your Database Administrator to give you the DBGUID and replace the same in the "dbguid" tab.
Once you launch the E-Notebook client you will see a drop down to select the login system name
You can add multiple sets of the Services tag and there is not limit on it.
