Problem:
What happens to customer’s existing support/maintenance contracts?
Solution:
All customers in the relevant markets will renew their maintenance agreements upon the next renewal event directly with PerkinElmer (or one of its subsidiaries). The advantages to the customer of doing so are:
1.This will be the only way to get access to updates of the TSLD product that PerkinElmer releases.
2.PerkinElmer has a global support organization with scientific domain knowledge based at PerkinElmer Informatics Centers of Excellence in Boston and Shanghai.
Until maintenance renewal, the obligation for support resides with TIBCO.
