Product: ChemDraw
When I launch ChemDraw, it states that it cannot save the preferences.
If you moved the ChemDraw folder after installing it, ChemDraw will not be able to find the preferences. To repoint ChemDraw to the preferences:
In version 4.0 and above, open your Windows (or WinNT) folder and look for a file called chamdraw.ini. If you don't see it, use the Find File utility in your Start menu to locate it. Once you find it, open it in a text editor, like NotePad. Edit the path for "CD_ITEMS_PATH" so it points to the new location of the CD_Items folder, which is in the ChemDraw folder. Save these changes.
For ChemDraw 3.5 and below, open your Windows (or WinNT) folder, and open the win.ini file in a text editor. Look for the [ChemDraw] section. Edit the path for "CD_ITEMS_PATH" so it points to the new location of the CD_Items folder, which is in the ChemDraw folder. You will have to put quotes around the path so ChemDraw can deal with the long file name.
