Problem:
When I try to open any ChemDraw file or template, my computer freezes or ChemDraw quits with a Type 1 error and I have to restart.
Solution:
If you are using an older HP printer driver like the 6.0.3 or 7.0.1 driver, you need to update your printer driver. Some older HP drivers conflict with ChemDraw. This conflict has been fixed with Hewlett Packard's version 9.2.1 (DW 600 series) or 9.3 (DJ 800 series) driver. Please note that there may be newer drivers available at HP's site that may or may not resolve the problem. When 9.2.1 and 9.3 were the latest drivers, they resolved the problem.
