ChemDraw won't launch. I get an error message similar to:
The following file could not be read because that file could not be found:
Name of your Hard Drive:CS ChemDraw:ChemDraw Folder:Isotopes Table
First check to see if you have two "ChemDraw Folder"s on your computer. This folder contains your templates and stationery preferences. You should only have one on your computer. You can either have one in your System:Preferences folder or one at the same level as the ChemDraw application icon. ChemDraw will first check your System:Preferences folder for a ChemDraw Folder, otherwise it looks at the application level. Delete the old ChemDraw Folder that you no longer need. Note: Make sure you move any templates or stationery that you created out of the old ChemDraw Folder and into the new one before deleting.
Another possibility is that the ChemDraw application icon is not at the same level as the ChemDraw folder. It is not a good idea to move the application icon. Make an alias of the ChemDraw application icon, and then move the alias to the location you want (i.e. the desktop or the Apple Menu). To make an alias, click once on the ChemDraw application icon, and choose "Make Alias" from the File menu.
It is also possible that the Isotopes table has been deleted or moved from the ChemDraw Folder. Reinstall ChemDraw to put it back in the correct location.
