Product: ChemDraw
When I try to launch my copy of ChemDraw, I get an error message stating that someone else is using this copy of the software.
There are two possible solutions:
1) Someone else is using your copy of the software. If you have installed the software on more than one computer using the same serial number and registration code (which is illegal unless you have purchased a site license) and the computers are connected via a network where someone else is already using the program, the copy protection will not allow you to use the program simultaneously. You must determine who is using the copy (illegally) and remove it from their computer.
2) Sometimes users will experience a type 1 or 25 error while using ChemDraw, etc. and will try to relaunch the application without rebooting. This can also cause the serial number warning window to pop-up. You need to restart your computer and then relaunch.
NOTE:You should contact your Network adminstrator to determine who is using a duplicate copy of your CS application. If the administrator has a program such as "Inter Poll" from Apple, they should be able to check the Network to determine the Net, Node and Computer name of the Macintosh running the copy with the same serial number.
