The ChemOffice Enterprise 9.0 application can not search or display chemical structures from the latest ChemACX database version 10.9.1
New Page 1
Abstract: The latest release of the ChemACX database, version 10.9.1, is built with structures drawn in ChemFinder 10.0 format. If you are running ChemACX in your ChemBioOffice Enterprise application version 9.0 with the data in the standard MSAccess format, then you will experience problems searching and displaying chemical structures. Please note that if your ChemACX data resides on an Oracle database, then there is no issue with the structure format.
- Structure searches in ChemACX always return ‘no records found’
- Search results for any other search types e.g. CAS# or chemical name, will show a blank field in the structure window.
Resolution: There are two possible ways to make your ChemACX application version 9 work properly with the ChemACX database version 10.
The most straightforward way to be sure your application is compatible with the version 10 data is to upgrade the ChemOffice Enterprise software to version 10. Contact your CambridgeSoft Sales or Services representative or your Customer Care agent to schedule the upgrade.
Cambridgesoft has created a ChemACX database version 10 with the structures converted back to the ChemOffice 9.0 format. The second option is to download these data files and replace the structures on your application server. Contact Cambridgesoft’s Enterprise support (email@example.com) to learn where to download these files and instructions.
