Incomplete Search Results for Email Recipients within the TIBCO Spotfire Automation Service Job Builder Send Email Task
When configuring the TIBCO Spotfire Automation Services "Send Email" task you can search for email addresses for the sender and recipient fields via Automation Services Job Builder > Send Email task > Select. See the Send Email reference for more details. But when searching for email addresses, you might be missing users or you might only find a list of users within your own domain and not from any other domains.
This is because the search uses the directory server to search addresses, and not synchronized emails in the TIBCO Spotfire Server database. When directory searches are done it will only search in the local domain of the user by querying the local domain controller. Currently it is not possible to search all domains in the current forest (even if you configured Global Catalog port in a TIBCO Spotfire Server LDAP configuration, since that is not used here).
As an example, if you search for a user using your account in emea.mycompany.com it will only search for them in emea.mycompany.com, and not in na.mycompany.com or apac.mycompany.com.
Note: Spotfire does not maintain any cache for the search results. However, you may find the second search are a bit faster since the domain controllers might have cache. Doc: Send Email
