Details: If you receive the “Not able to initialize user. Please contact system administrator” error when trying to login into the PerkinElmer Download Center, it is because you still need to register as a user.
As a ChemDraw/ChemOffice user, if you are using a site subscription through your organization or academic institution, you will need to register first using this link:
Search for your institution name and register.
Once completed, then attempt to login again. If the error persists, try clearing your cache, using a different browser or going on as "Incognito" in Chrome or "InPrivate" in Microsoft Edge (the error could be cached into your browser).
For all other product customers, if you get a similar error while trying to download using an individual or named user license, it could be because the admin has not added you to the account:
- Please contact your site license administrator or the person who purchase the software for you, he/she will have the rights to add you to the account.
- If you do not know who the license admin is, then please create a support ticket and send your product order number or activation code with your request to be added to the account.
