Is it possible to increase the number of jobs that Columbus processes in parallel?

There are 3 distinct job queues that Columbus uses: one for Import, one for Export and one for Batch Analysis. Jobs within each individual queue are scheduled and processed sequentially on a first-come first-served basis; by default only one job is processed in each queue at any one time, jobs in separate queues however can run in parallel. For example, there may be 1 analysis, 1 export and 1 import job all running in parallel. All users share the same job queues.

Although not an officially suported solution, it is possible to change the number of jobs that run in parallel in each of the job queues mentioned above. Please contact the Columbus support team at imaging.support@perkinelmer.com for further information.
